COURSE INFORMATION
Course Description: The workshop will give participants a greater understanding of the overall accounting process and the cooperative business model. Topics covered include USOA, Work Order Accounting, Patronage Capital, Revenue and Tariffs. Also included will be a discussion of Form 7 and its relationship to and dependence on the USOA.
Learning Objectives:• Understand and recognize the unique elements of the cooperative business model. • Understand the overall accounting process necessary to account for and report results of financial transactions. • Understand the importance of the work order process to utility accounting. • Understand the relationship between the USOA and Form 7. • Prepare and understand Form 7 Part A Statement of Operations and Part C Balance Sheet.
