COURSE INFORMATION

Course Description: This one-day, interactive workshop is designed for emerging and frontline co-op leaders who are stepping into greater responsibility. Whether someone is new to supervision, preparing for a leadership role, or just wanting to strengthen their day-to-day leadership skills, this session will focus on practical tools they can put to use right away.

Throughout the day, participants will talk through how to communicate more clearly, build trust, navigate the shift from peer to supervisor, hold other accountable in a healthy and consistent way, delegate with confidence and lead with greater self-awareness. The workshop will include discussion, real-world co-op examples, and application exercises to help leaders think through situations they face every day.

Participants will leave with:

  • A better understanding of how their communication style impacts trust, clarity, and team performance
  • Practical strategies for navigating the transition from team member to team leader
  • Tools for having accountability conversations in a way that is clear, fair, and constructive
  • A stronger understanding of when to delegate, when to empower, and how to avoid micromanaging
  • Ideas for showing up consistently as a leader and setting the tone for their team
  • Action steps they can take back and apply right away
